Destinations: Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara
Start your adventure with a morning pickup from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National
Park. Known for its immense elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, this park is a wildlife
haven. Enjoy a full-day game drive through rolling savannahs and acacia woodlands. After
an exciting day, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a midrange lodge.
After breakfast, journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands en route to Serengeti National
Park. You’ll arrive in time for an afternoon game drive across the endless plains, famous for
big cats, wildebeest, and dramatic sunsets. Spend the night at a comfortable midrange
tented camp inside or near the Serengeti.
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Serengeti, when predators are most active. After
breakfast, begin the drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with en-route wildlife
viewing and optional stop at Olduvai Gorge. Overnight stay will be at a midrange lodge on
the crater rim or nearby, offering stunning views and cozy comforts.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive on the crater floor,
spotting everything from lions to flamingos. After lunch, enjoy a brief visit to Lake Manyara
National Park if time permits, then return to Arusha, where your safari concludes in the
evening.
Expect a wide variety elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and possibly rhinos and leopards. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are especially good for big cat sightings.
